Job Description

We are looking for a professional Instructional Designer to design and develop learning experiences for our clients. The goal is to facilitate learners in acquiring knowledge, skills and competencies in an effective and engaging manner.


  • Analyze the requirements provided by the client for the development of compelling course-ware that achieves learning goals
  • Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product
  • Apply pedagogical principles to the learning products, e.g. Kirkpatrick’s Model, Gagne’s Nine Events
  • Communicate effectively in visual, oral and written form
  • Select, modify, or create a design and development model appropriate for a given project
  • Create a learning design plan (LXD Plan) including visual design strategy, user interfaces, and test plans to validate the design
  • Collaborate with other members including domain experts and designers in the team to collectively critique the LXD created
  • Ensure that the UI and visual design remain consistent throughout the course
  • Exploit the intrinsic motivation of the learner by including intuitive storytelling, simple but effective UIs, and employing learner-driven experiences
  • Develop and integrate module content, materials and media to meet detailed design specifications
  • Work with subject matter experts to ensure the content is accurate and fits the client’s requirement


  • Excellent communication skills and writing capabilities
  • Required Skills: PowerPoint, any video production tools, any audio production tools
  • Proficiency with course authoring software such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, iSpring, InDesign, Photoshop, learning management systems, content management systems, and graphic editing software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong presentation design portfolio demonstrating expert level in Powerpoint including use of multiple masters, color themes, animations, actions, and video
  • Understanding of and experience in corporate branding, layout, color theory and typography
  • Experience with strategic brainstorming, campaign development, creative brief development and creative execution
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text,storyboards, audio scripts/video scripts


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in instructional design, educational technology or similar relevant field
  • At least 2 years’ experience in e-learning, content development or media production

Full-time positions at Firstventure Corporation require a commitment to work a minimum of 45 hours each week, Monday to Friday.
