Sr. Operations Manager

Job Description

Sr. Operations Manager is responsible to direct and manage the day-to-day activities of an organization’s operations and implement the right processes and practices across the organization. They are expected to be a responsible leader with an analytical and strategic mind and have a broad knowledge of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
  • Improving operational management systems, processes and best practices
  • Helping the organization’s processes remain legally compliant
  • Implement company policies, procedures, and initiatives
  • Evaluate and enhance current operational systems
  • Formulate strategic and operational objectives
  • Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability
  • Manage budgets and forecasts
  • Perform quality controls and monitor KPIs
  • Recruit, train and oversee the team performance and ensure maximum productivity
  • Find ways to increase the quality of customer service
  • Monitor performance against current operational goals and develop reporting and auditing processes used to analyze operational effectiveness
  • Mentor and motivate teams to achieve productivity and engagement
  • Identifies training needs and ensures proper training is developed and provided
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Proven work experience as Operations Manager or similar role
  • Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
  • Experience in budgeting and forecasting
  • Familiarity with business and financial principles
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Leadership ability
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with all business functions including HR, finance, and IT
  • Experience with implementing IT systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Experience and Educational Qualification

  • A minimum of 7 years of industry-related experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, Operations Management, or similar industry-related field required
  • A master’s degree would be preferred
